Hopefully they ain't trying to kill her ass off. I see that shady ass Scorpio Kemp decided to bring out some military troops, to stem some of this random ass violence in Atlanta. I don't know what the hell is going on, just up the street from me awhile back, three teens ran up on some military dude with a handgun, and his ass had an assault rifle and killed all three of them, my son went to school with them. It's ridiculous the violence that you have to be strapped in you own home, I hate having to sleep with a weapon by my bedside, my next door neighbor is a retired cop I think him and his wife as swingers, they invited me to come over to their pool. I just gave their asses the side eye and declined the invitation, I'm not that witch. Anyhoo I hope she pulls through she should be fine though.

She doesnt have Covid. She is clearly trying to shift the narrative away from the violence in ATL this past week

12:01, how TF you gonna say what another person has going on? You don't know her health info.

She has no symptoms but happened to test positive yea right. Guess we not gonna talk about the tainted tests. She'll be just fine.

How is she playing the violence off. The violence has hit all the major city's. She has nothing to be ashamed of. From my perspective she is doing the best she can, with what she has. Mayor Bottoms is not going to jeopardize herself and family. Somebody coughed in her masked. Checked your back gurl.

Hopefully she'll be ok since she has access to excellent healthcare. What people need to start paying attention to is Baby Hitler's big push to reopen schools in the fall, especially middle and grade schools. Personally I think it's a way to target low-income and minority kids who don't have the resources or ability to get home-schooled or participate in online (remote) classes.

You have scores of Black kids out here who had to rely on charity or private programs just so they could have something to eat during the day while school's been out. So how exactly are these kids supposed to get access to laptops and consistent WIFI?? A lot of inner city schools in places like Baltimore and Detroit barely had AC in the summer so where's the funding coming from to supply them with the necessary tools and supplies they'll need come fall if there's no vaccine or remission? And that rabid bitch of an Education Secretary has done, and continues to do everything in her power to cut funding for public schools.

I believe the plan is to send a lot of our kids back into packed classrooms and pretend they're safe. Once they get sick and attendance starts to suffer that will justify them saying we have to revert back to home based, online classrooms. Meanwhile, middle income and wealthy suburban kids will have the option to stay home and the ability to keep up with their curriculum as Black and other minority kids continue to fall behind.

I really hope I'm 100% wrong on this but we really need to stay woke for real. These demons are always thinking ahead and not every plan is written in big bold letters on a brightly lit wall.

You got to build up your immune system,those goofy mask ain't gonna help nobody but put money in the makers pockets.

I agree ms mac. The inner city kids will suffer the most. This will only enhance the poverty and violence in the ghettos.

I don't trust her, she's all about self.

She's lying! Don't fall for the banana in the tailpipe.

@ms Mac

You're definitely not wrong. Online classes, though, comes with it's own set of problems too. Isolation learning, enabling abusive measures within a household, the social learning and interaction that children learn when playing / learning with others etc...there are going to be a lot of learning curves and challenges this fall - regardless if that learning takes place in overcrowded, underfunded, classrooms or in isolation at home. Nobody wins and middle-class yt women are bitching about having to switch to virtual learning. Trust, neither option is ideal for either group. The only option we have is to vote in Nov. I know Biden isn't the best or strongest candidate, but he's the lesser evil in this equation. Trump has introduced a policy that would send international students home if their college courses are switched to online. I think I read a report that said that international students contributed 45 billion to the US economy in 2015. And in my own city a billion dollar business is threatening to move to Canada if Trump's policy remains in place (limiting visas for international students). This nutjob has got to go and we all have to work to remove him from office. We need competent leadership at the top, we need a president whos empathetic to low-income families and will create measures to help their families cope with the new normal.

@Unknown 7:14AM, you're 100% correct. I had plenty of friends and family who went stir crazy having to deal with their kids being schooled at home. Most said it was harder because they (the parents) had to stay on top of so many things and it was as if they were the ones in school.
