It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.⁣ ⁣ Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. ⁣ ⁣ A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. ⁣ ⁣ It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. ⁣ ⁣ He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. ⁣ ⁣ The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. ⁣ ⁣ Photo Credit: @samjonespictures

This is so devastating. He was so young, talented, and beautiful. I just can't believe it. And through it all, still managed to share his amazing art with us.

The official announcement says'colon' cancer

Yes...it was stated colon cancer. He was too talented to be sent home and giving of him self to charity. There are so many other ass holes, that could have taken his place and we wouldn't miss them.

Saw this on the news Friday night and was hurt for real. Except for Michael Jackson, Princess Diana, Aaliyah, Whitney, Prince and maybe one or two more; this one hit different...think i had a little tear. This young man pumped out about 9 films ( check me if im wrong) on about 4 years while going "thru". He made a profund impact. Mr. Boseman job well done anf may you rest in eternal peace.

Young, gifted and Black and oh so humble too. Can we also say that he wasn't one of these celebs that was a media whore?

In addition, he beat the evil and messy ass media too. Atleast he controlled his own narrative. Unlike some other celebrities that would have been on social media seeking sympathy and oversharing. Everything is not for everybody; good for him. Good for you Chadwick.
No more pain and no more of this crazy ass world.

Aside from being way too young and gifted, the other sad part of his passing is that he was a decent role model for Black people, specifically young Black children. Of course Black Panther was fiction but it was refreshing to finally see a young brother represent a "super hero" instead of a thug, criminal, lowlife and/or deadbeat.

He also did complete justice in his roles honoring the great like Robinson, Roosevelt, etc. He represented his people well. And yet the ones who are out here rapping about mayhem, murder and WAPS will probably live into their 90s.

Life isn't fair but at least he graced us with his presence. This is a huge loss. Eternal peace to this brotha. His talent and contributions will be missed for sure.

This here is dignity personified. He came, he saw and conquered on his own terms without being a media wh@re due to his medical battle. Even so,it hurts for those who saw a glimpse of greatness and dignity. This here, is what our youths should emulate instead of gang culture. Wakanda!!!!!

4:38 you must be a cracka, because if you are black you must be very ignorant.

5:57 we tend to celebrate the worst that black people have to offer society. We must do better, but I have my doubts.

4:38 go shoot yourself and and no website has said he was DL. You're a fucking troll and probably take cock yourself. This is not the time for that and says alot about you. Keyboard thug with low self esteem and you're miserable and horrible human being too who should have been aborted. You should be proud of yourself. If you even know them, your parents would be proud too. Just a waste of human flesh. You can come back and respond accordingly but I'm done.

@5:57pm
There is NO WE. You, YOUR family and friend celebrate the worst. DO NOT speak for all black people that you do not know. You sound like you just step out of the stormfront playbook with your bullshit.
Every day it's same bullshit with you! Black folk ain't shit, we are not buying what your sick mind is trying to sell us.

^^^ that comment is for 6:32pm the bitch who complains about black folk everyday.

@4:38,you must be a robot since you think that's our concern at this time. Chadwick is what we need in our community: dignity, perseverance, determination, focus, kind-hearted and work ethics. This was not a frivolous man running to the media every second to inundate us with their nonsense. Take a zillion seats!

This is heartbreaking. How is it that he dies young from cancer but drug-infested, diseased demonic creatures like Boosie and Lil Wayne survived all the diseases and drug overdoses? Both of these burnt niggas should have BEEN dead!

At least Chadwick lived his dream and died with a positive reputation. No one will miss Lil Wayne or Boosie when those niggas drop dead.
