Nicci Gilbert Explains Bigger Picture Behind P Valley Lawsuit

Earlier this month Brownstone singer Nicci Gilbert announced she was filing a lawsuit against the creators of the hit Starz series 'P Valley' for copyright infringement after accusing them of stealing the concept of her musical 'Soul Kittens Cabaret' [click here if you missed that].

Nicci explains the bigger purpose behind filing the suit...

In a video posted online Nicci explains that the lawsuit is not just for her, but all Black women content creators. Nicci says she created an initiative called 'WIRF [Women In Reality TV] MEDIA' to combat the negative stereotypes of Black women in media and to help women and girls of color fight for control of content they created.

In the trailer for Soul Kittens the simularities to P. Valley are unmistakable. There's the gay club owner, the new girl in the club and the casino coming to town threatening to disrupt business.

Nicci craves the spotlight but she's not well liked. She's desperate, thirsty and will do anything to get back on television but ain't nobody interested in her BS.

I troll it like I see it said...

I have no idea who she is, reality tv sucks anyway I certainly don't watch that garbage.

I don't know her or why you say Nicci is not well liked. Where are the receipts?
The saddest thing to me is that Fanny has reduced herself to this baboonery. She could have really been a bigger star with her talent.
After Faith Evan's marriage to Stevie Jay, well I can believe her desperation for the chitlin circuit.

@12:38 This was done way back in 2011 well before Faith married Stevie J.
