He was a ground breaker in the Fashion World. It was very sad to see him end up fighting Yt's for his home. The joke is on them to pay them all that money back.
I'd hit that garage sale with my sneakers, sweats, and some trailmix snacks. ready to rip a garment from a bish hands rolling in floor tussling and ready to run to the cash register.
I literally just watched his documentary on Youtube recently. From what I gathered, he spent all that time hobnobbing with them rich folk, being around people who had the best of the best, only for them to discard him when they had no more use for him. He seemed very lonely and sad, in very bad health, and I suspect that he was a hoarder. I wouldn't be surprised if he committed suicide. In any event, may he rest in peace.
Andre's impact & presence was ground breaking in the fashion world. This giant black man, Brown University grad in the front row. He encouraged a lot of those brands to feature black models... I met him in Harlem having dinner at Londell's & to my surprise he was very pleasant. Legendary=Andre
Damn near Every media outlet has paid respects except for Vogue & we're on social media lighting their ass up!!! RIP Andre Leon Talley....
Hes a legend and an icon. He paved the way for peeps like me. He helped a friend of mine get put on after meeting him on the street during NY fashion week. Rest in Heavenly peace. The fashion industry is cutthroat and still doesn't acknowledge how much blacks have contributed.
It warms my heart to see that he positively impacted the people commenting on this thread. He always seemed sad to me. I hope he's at peace and I'm grateful for people like him that paved the way for Black creators.
Maybe this Wintour bitch needed time to process his death and deal with the loss before she posted? Not everyone is glued to social media. She don't owe the public anything. FOH
I saw him one day eating alone at a window restaurant in NYC. He could barely sit on the bar tool. He had just left Vogue and was working for Zappos designer shoe division. I felt sorry for him being alone.
Andre was highly educated unlike the other people in his industry. Andre had both a bachelor's and graduate degree in his field as well as spoke fluent French.

One less bootlick coon. Being a bootlick tool for white supremacy doesn't come with a retirement plan.

I speak French...WEWEEE...oh that's the wrong term for Peen.
He was mad at Anna for that weight intervention she did to him. He lost the weight and put it back on.
