Jesse Williams Child Support Drastically Cut

For the past three years actor Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake Lee, have been in a knock-down drag-out fist-fight over child support for their two kids [click here if you missed that].

The battle is finally over...

From ET
Jesse Williams had a big legal victory this week. A court ruled that the 40-year-old actor would no longer have to pay his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, $40,000 a month in child support payments due to changes in his finances.
Instead, Williams will now give Drake-Lee $6,413 a month, and can pay half on the first of the month, and the other half on the 15th. This ruling will commence on April 15, and will continue until further court order.

Aryn Drake Lee it's time you found a job. Yes, welcome to the world of the working person. You can look forward to long hours, hateful co-workers and inept bosses. And for all of your hard work you will receive $13.00 an hour, yes. And don't forget your Uncle Sam gets his off the top.

So Welcome to the Working World !!!

Aryn will do just fine. She's a graduate of Columbia and supported Jesse while she worked as a realtor during his struggle years. If she could feed, clothe and house his grown ass, she can certainly maintain a household on her salary with his $6,413 contribution. He's the type of man who'll pass up a million dollar opportunity just because he'll have to give her $250k. Six grand and some change is nothing for a Hollywood actor, most men pay at least $3,500 for two kids.

She about to be pissed

But Aryn will not be fine. She's still very bitter and this ruling will not help her heal. She needs to forgive him for her own sake, or this will not end well for her and will turn into rage.

$40ty a month!!! Gurl most households are living on half that and 40ty kids. She better get up off that dusty and go to WERK.

It's not like she can't work. She's blinded by revenge and consumed by anger. I hope her anger will not make her harm her children to inflict pain on him. I don't know why, but I feel scared for her and her children.

These two weirdos need to stay together. I don't see were either of them are a catch. Man take that money back to your soulmate.

Damn, that's a huge drop. I bet she wish she had left him alone and been more amicable. That 6 thousand won't go far in expensive California.

Another woman of colour getting shafted.

I think Aryn is allowing her anger to consume her and her ability to co-parent with Jesse. Aryn knows better than anyone how fickle the industry is, and that you're only as hot as your next project, which is why she should have been more accommodating and understanding of what Jesse's trying to do for his career. Yes, children still have needs regardless of daddy's career choices, however, mommy needs to learn how to compromise and co-parent for the sake of her children. If need be, have a lawyer draw up papers saying that she's forfeiting child support temporarily, and that when Jesse has found another 7 figure project, she's entitled to 65% or something to that effect. But trying to humiliate him, or shame him into doing what she wants will only hurt her children in the long run. Jesse is gonna be good regardless, however, Aryn will always be Aryn (cringe); which is unattractive on the outside AND inside smh.

Williams's two-year contract came to an end during Season 17, and he chose not to renew it. This "possibly" was done from spite.
Actor Jesse Williams believes his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee should get to work and make her own money — claiming despite her impressive resume she doesn't have a full-time job.
According to court documents obtained by Radar, the former Grey’s Anatomy star accuses his ex of refusing to obtain employment and help in supporting their children.

I hope she does not kill those children in murder/suicide to get back at him, that type of rage and resentment will cause, long term health issues. I hope she heals and move on with her life. Men like him are a dime a dozen in hollyweird, when they are done feeding on him will be tossed aside. He is a dummy breaking up his family, because she didn't "fit" the hollyweird image.

How she was spending the $40,000:
The actor claims Aryn has invested the child support payments into risky “non-income-producing experiments such as a restaurant (in June 2020!), wellness and apothecary shops is contrary to our children’s best interests.”

Jesse Williams can more that afford to continue to pay the $40K in Child Support. The downgraded acting gig (Broadway) is not his only source of income. He has investments in a bunch of startups and other businesses.

I doubt Aryn is just sitting on her ass collecting checks. She is a very accomplished person and can certainly do well on her own.

I do not understand why people are calling her lazy when she supported him throughout the beginning of their relationship and well into their marriage.

The money is for their kids. She was mostly investing the money in a trust for their children.

No one has a problem when gold-digging baby mommas ask for this much money, but you are chastising a woman for requesting money from her ex-husband.

@Susie

Just because Aryn supported Jesse's career early on, does not entitle her to a lifetime of alimony - or exorbitant child support payments. It hurts like hell when a person, who you've struggled and sacrificed for, abandons you and your marriage for someone else. However, people grow and move on; they shouldn't be penalized for that and Aryn needs to move the hell on. Child support is based on the needs of the child - not their mothers previous emotional investment in their father support. For some reason black women (specifically) conflate child support with any all financial support that they provided prior to the marriage - and that nonsense just isn't backed by law. You cannot force a man to pay you for your time, emotional support, and sacrifice once the relationship dissolves. Jesse and Aryn broke up in 2017-2018. That's a whole 5-6 years ago! What Aryn did or didn't do 10 years ago has nothing to do with the amount of child support she is entitled to today. Jesse has a career that he's trying to maintain, so that involves taking on smaller roles to expand his portfolio. It's not personal and Aryn needs to get up off her ass, dust off that IVY League degree and get to WERK!

Anyone else sick of this spam troll?

She should have quietly received those child support payments and did what she wanted instead of taking him back and forth to court over and over and over and over again for increases and increases in child custody status by claiming he is not fit so she could weaponize and keep the kids away from him while getting additional child support based on the additional custody agreement she was hoping she would get by taking him to court over and over and over again. She was too greedy. She acts like he had a baby by her sister or best friend. I would have left my job too (not because of the money) but because I was becoming a liability to the shows image and being the source of gossip of my coworkers because I was in the media every week about my kids or my ex wife. Her crazy behavior made him look crazy.

It's like, if you are getting a large portion of the money....DON'T DO THINGS TO F/CK THE MONEY UP! You kept trying to publicly destroy his image beyond what got out through unconfirmed media. You try to make kids that have a father, fatherless. You messed up the money for everybody. Aryn, you won I guess. I hope your happy because if your goal is for him to never work again, than the little nothing job offers he gets since losing his last job...you got your wish. Your bank account also got extremely light. Best of luck though.
