Last Sweetie Pies Restaurant Shuts Down

Earlier this month Timothy Norman from the hit reality TV series 'Welcome to Sweetie Pies' was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his nephew, Andre Montgomery, who was also featured on the show that revolved around the restaurant founded by Tim's mother Robbie Montgomery  [click here if you missed that]. 

Now the last Sweetie Pies restaurant, located in Jackson, MS, has closed down...

Workers packed up the contents of Sweetie Pie’s soul food business in Jackson on Monday, March 20.

Owner Robbie Montgomery said she closed the doors to her business last week due to “unforeseen circumstances.” She opened the location on East South Street nearly four years ago.

Montgomery said she plans to focus her business efforts on her St. Louis establishment.

Fun Fact: Sweetie Pies in St. Louis was closed last year after the city used eminent domain to take the property for a Veterans Hospital expansion [click here if you missed that].
