A reviewer who saw an early screening of Disney’s new remake of “The Little Mermaid” tells Page Six that it seems to dip a toe (or a fin?) into the Megxit debacle — and even contains what appears to be a dig at Kate Middleton.
The critic tells us that the film seems to draw a number of subtle yet plausible comparisons between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the one hand and the two lead characters, Ariel (who is Black in the new version) and Prince Eric (who is white), on the other.
But one scene, in particular, seems to get pretty literal. “Ariel has sacrificed her voice in order to get to the surface and [meet] Prince Eric. She can’t speak so he tries to guess her name,” they told us. “His first guess is Diana. His second guess is Catherine, but after [Ariel gives a disgusted] reaction, he [concludes] ‘OK, definitely not Catherine.’”
Our cinematic spy says there’s nothing in the movie’s internal logic to otherwise explain the mermaid’s extreme response, and, they add, “Disney would be disingenuous to imply those name choices were coincidental.” (Needless to say, Diana is the name of Prince Harry’s late mother and Catherine is the full name of his sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, a.k.a., Kate Middleton, who is widely seen as Markle’s real-life nemesis in the ongoing saga of Meghan and Harry’s exit from royal duties).
Meanwhile, in her notorious 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle herself said she identified with the mermaid.
During “Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special” she recalled watching the classic 1989 animation during her troubled time in the UK after her 2018 wedding to Harry. “I went, ‘Oh my God, she falls in love with the prince and because of that she loses her voice,’” Markle said.

Stop lying, 🚫 Kate wasn’t the one who said anything. It was Megan who told her she had “baby brain” after Kate suffered with postpartum depression after that last kid, when she brought up all the girls dresses didn’t fit for the wedding. Which if you look at the pictures, and even Harry admits they didn’t fit. They had to have another fix the crappy work of the first designer and they still looked cheap.
The “baby brain” comment Megan said, made Kate cry. If you read Harry’s book, he said Meghan refused to apologize and started crying herself when confronted, and that’s what caused the fight between him and William. William said Meghan was rude and Harry defended her rude behavior, and it got him and William into a physical fight over Meghan’s slick mouth comments.
The person who is believed to have made a comment not to Meghan as she claimed, but to Harry, and it was one time not several times as Meghan claimed and later in her letter to Charles, (I’m not calling him King, I don’t respect him), she admits it wasn’t meant to be racist, was supposedly Camilla.
Charles and Camilla ain’t worth as my grandma would say a pot to p*ss in, but he did give Harry a life full of privilege and was never physically abusive to him. Harry is just mentally stuck in the brain of a 13 year old. Most in laws and parents question what and who their grandchildren will look like. I think Meghan was so worried that kid was going to turn out dark, her own insecurities took over and freaked her out.

Ha! They may be reaching with this one but if not, it's brilliant. Nobody likes those stuffy Brits over here. If Meghan is playing Harry for a fool, so be it. Her mama is in her ear plotting the ultimate pay back for the ancestors from behind the scenes. First divide then watch them fall.
