Babyface Speaks Out After Boot From Anita Baker Tour
This week R&B singer Anita Baker announced that she would be continuing The Songstress tour alone after clashing online with Babyface's fans and accusing him of not intervening [click here if you missed that].
This was all coordinated and very well, might I add. Babyface probably didnt know about AB's diva antics and constant tardiness before signing up for her tour.
But if he had QUIT the tour he would have owed AB and the promoters money but by AB removing him he is off the hook and AB and her team cant sue him
Why you blaming Anita? This all went down because Baby Face put out that memo implying he had to cancel his show because Anita wasn’t right. Not true. She was the headliner. She went on on time.
He went to the public to turn them on Anita, but failed to tell the public Live Nation messed up the show, not Anita. Since his public message, she has been harassed non stop. She's 60 plus years old and doesn't need mentally ill keyboard warrior's attacking her. Live Nation said it was their fault, not hers that the show was 2 hours late. He felt she should cyt her show to allow him time when she was the headliner instead of being mad at Live Nation or making it up to his fans.
Had BF not prematurely run to the public, they would've gotten over that 1 incident, but once you sick strangers on her and they are now threatening her life, that sours everything. He started that mess. He's been in the game 40 years and knows shows can be canceled, start late, and so on and so forth. He's probably done the same thing to others over the years. He wasn't even nice to his own brothers of After 7. Melvin had the most beautiful voice of the brothers but was a truck driver the last few years. BF isn't that nice himself. Lol
Wtf does Mel being a truck driver have to do with Face?? Thats a grown @$$ man. If Babyface wanted to provide for his lifestyle then great but he certainly isnt obligated to. Some of you siblings are so jealous and entitled. Madonna, Toni, Whitney, Mariah, Mj, they all had lazy jealous entitled siblings. I know Ciara is glad she's an only child because her siblings would be coming for her coins too lol
@ 1:24, BF is a grown arse man running to the internet to tell on a female who didn't wrong him. As for Melvin, I love him and he had the best voice. BF had all kinds of power but wasn't quick to help family, so spare the grown arse man bull because there is nothing wrong with helping your big brothers.You also can't put Mel or After 7 in the same group as other siblings, ding bat. This is not the first time with AB and other artists so a reasonable minded person can't help but think it is HER!!! Yall AB fans can say what you want, but that is the truth. Don't know why she's like this because she is NOT all of that. She's okay. So many others can sing her under the RUG!!! and they don't behave like she does. I think she started drinking her own fan Koolaid, it went to her head and years later here we are... still. It's sad.

It wasn't Live Nations fault. Word on the curb is AB was two hours late and didn't let BF go on. Which she did on purpose. You can look at Anita and see she ain't shit to deal with. And I grew up on all her music but this ain't 89

I admire Babyface's response. I didn't take the high road when she came to Chicago a couple of years ago and was selfishly late and blamed it on turning 60. Then she mumbled through half songs which the audience ended up singing. And now she's back at the United Center with VIP seating etc. I wouldn't go if I had a free ticket or ordered by a judge as community. service. Anyone in doubt I still have the video clips from her non Chicago Theater performance.
