Diddy Donates $1 Million to Jackson State

Sean 'Diddy' Combs fulfills pledge to donate $1 million to Jackson State University...

Last year, on June 26, 2022, Sean “Diddy” Combs announced while receiving his BET Lifetime Achievement Award that he would donate $1 million to Jackson State University. According to the Mississippi Clarion Ledger, the “Bad Boy” kept his word and completed the task.
Combs made the initial pledge when Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders was the head football coach. Although Coach Prime is no longer with the university, that did not stop Diddy from sending a check to JSU. During his acceptance Lifetime Achievement Award speech, he also promised the same amount to Howard University, where he attended.
“Hold up, hold up, before I leave, I want to donate a million dollars to Howard University,” he said at last year’s ceremony. “Also, I’m a drop another million dollars on Deion Sanders and Jackson State because we should play for us. Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of my heart. I love y’all! Peace!”

Get ready for the "tax write off" comments.

Regardless he chose to give back to his community and not some silly cause like "Save the Rhino"

His children go/went to which school(s)?

I still don’t like him even though I’m a HBCU graduate. I bet soon JSU will be giving him a honorary doctorate. He’s not just doing something and not getting anything in return.

I appreciate the gesture, especially considering how Deion dropped the HBC for a PWI once he got what he needed (using blk ppl for yt proximity and yt wealth). Sometimes Diddy can be an asset to blk culture. Kudos

Don’t none of that money ever get to the students. It just be faculty raises for everybody. Especially at the black schools.

When will you rich people learn. Give the money directly to the students. If you want to help the student body. Donations to the schools. Never reach the students.
