Tory Lanez Blindsided by Stiff Prison Sentence

This week Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in state prison after his conviction for shooting Houston rapper Megan the Stallion and gun possession charges [click here if you missed that].

Tory is having a hard time processing the sentence...

From TMZ
Tory's defense attorney, Jose Baez, tells TMZ his client is feeling pretty low right now after having the book thrown at him. We're told Tory is having a hard time processing the sentence, but Baez also says despite that ... Tory's made it clear to him he's going to remain strong and deal with his time behind bars as best as he can.
Jose says Tory is leaning on his faith in God, the support of his friends/family and the indignation his supporters around the world are expressing -- many of whom are loudly lamenting the stiff punishment.
Baez says Tory was hoping the judge would show mercy -- especially with the number of people who went to bat for him in court, including some celebs. We're told the reason there's so much outcry for Tory is because he was genuinely loved in the community ... as he'd done a lot to give back over the years.
In the meantime, Baez insists an appeal is coming.

🀣🀣🀣🀣 he should've thought! Man, this guy really thought all his lying, posting on IG, talking lots of smack was going to get him somewhere with the prosecutor? This is the rightful outcome. He needs to sit and do that time like a man.

Bags lost due to injury, MIA fest and other concerts cancelled, reputations ruined, records not made…yeah ninja you going to jail until all that money is recouped; because Mr. Carter has that kind of clout. If anyone thinks this justice system runs on facts and evidence, you are sadly mistakenly.

What messed Tory up was that he never took the trial seriously. He treated the whole thing as a game and had no real defense. He was dumb enough to think that having high powered names behind him was enough.

If FAFO was a person.

@8:49. EXACTLY.... perhaps he'll use his time to reflect on his stupidity or perhaps he'll sit there and become bitter and more angry. Either way, his narcism is why he's locked up

What is FAFO?

Judges have to follow sentencing guidelines and can decide to go hard or be lenient based on the defendant's criminal history, attitude and behavior. The courtroom is a judge's domain where they rule and have power and most judges don't appreciate theirs being treated like a circus and that's exactly what this clown did and now he's paying the price. He shouldn't be blindsided if his lawyers explained all of this and they probably did but his little midget ears were probably too small to hear it.

Only a narcissist is blindsided by accountability. Like, in what world did he think he could shoot at anyone, while being a felon, and not serve jail time? I mean, is it narcissism or retardation?

Go mature like a fine wine.
Apologize to Queen Megan.
Write some lyrics.
Come back a better person.

Why would he be blindsided when the MINIMUM was nine years? Did this Canadian lunatic really think his bootleg rap career made him some kind of national American treasure? Did he forget he has a history of domestic violence? Ten years is not enough he should have gotten twenty.

His time in prison will cause his bitterness to grow. Narcissits never learn accountability.

This trend of no accountability, consequences do not exist, and all I have to do to get away with ANYTHING is just say “hey, I’m black man - so yeah, ya’ll OWE me the right to not have to be culpable. Little, abusive, narcissistic piece of shit.

In other words he's gonna find a prison husband to protect his petite butt.
