Dell Curry Remarries

Last year Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry's parents, Dell and Sonya Curry, raised eyebrows one year post divorce by basically swapping out with another couple [click here if you missed that].

Now Dell has remarried....

From MSN
Dell and Sonya Curry stunned the sports world when they announced their divorce two years ago.
The parents of Steph and Seth Curry were often spotted at their sons' NBA games. They seemed like a picture perfect couple.
But clearly, the couple was having problems under the surface.
Now, two years following the divorce, Dell Curry, a former NBA player himself, has re-married.
"Yes. It’s great. ... I didn’t know what I was gonna do (after the divorce). I thought about going to the West Coast. I’m like, 'Nah, I’m not gonna follow my sons. I’m going to stick it out. Hang here...' And then I had friends who introduced me to my wife now. I’d met her a couple of times. We talked on the phone for a month before I laid eyes on her. I’m like: 'Oh, I like this girl, man. What’s going on here?' I wasn’t going to get married again. But life is great right now. It couldn’t be better. For me, I’m at a great place in my life. My home situation is sound. My kids and their families are doing great. They’re happy for me. I'm happy for them," he told the Charlotte Observer.
Dell's wife's name is Nicki. They have been married for about a year now.

@8:20 AM. Yep. That's her.

The Currys are paper-bag people. Always have been and always will be.

It’s cool to f**k a white chick every now and again but these fools be cuddled up and dating them… it’s weird… you can’t find you a beautiful block woman to date? WTF

Hopefully the spouses can find happiness with the other. I bet they were swingers,, anyway.

Either he's a liar of the write-up is all wrong because the facts don't add up. He suggests meeting this YT woman after his divorce but I thought I saw pics of the new wife and her ex-husband (who Sonya hooked up with after their separation) together at a basketball game? I thought the two couples were good friends so how did Dell not meet her until a month after talking on the phone? And yes, the Curry's definitely seem like they like to keep that lineage nice and light.

@ 10:14, I live in NC and it is a WELL KNOWN fact that the Currys have a "no darkies allowed" rule. You are correct.

Thanks, 6:35. People know about these things but like to act like it's not true. Whatever.

Wtf does "basically swapping out" mean? Who writes these posts? Do better.

I dated out once, with a mixed Spanish. If it had worked out, oh well that's what God gave me. And they did have African ancestry. But it didn't. I didn't plan on meeting them, it was out of the blue. All this to say, I can't understand us being so eager to seek out and marry clear people. It is the stupidest thing ever. Our community is suffering. But we say F us and run to give our resources to the oppressor. Most of the ones we get with, they don't want anyway. So it's really just a money grab. Which is one of the commodities that we most need to retain. Us falling for this doesn't make any sense.

So, it's OK to date outside your race but only if you're broke?

Anonymous said...

@10:35 You dated one non-Black person and you trying to make a universal statement about a singular experience? That’s thinking like a dummy.

It is not uncommon for swingers to switch partners after years of switching. If they fell for each other after hooking up regularly with their partners its not surprising that they would fall in love and marry. Good luck to them.
