Jodie Turner-Smith Says Divorce Is Not a Failure

Last year actress Jodie Turner Smith filed for divorce from her childhood crush, "Dawson's Creek" star Joshua Jackson, after four years of marriage and one child together [click here if you missed that].

Jodie isn't dwelling on the break-up and says it's better to move on if things aren't right...

From People
In an interview with The Times published on Sunday, the British actress and model, 37, said that though she filed for divorce from the 45-year-old Fatal Attraction star in October 2023, she's trying to think positively about their split.
“Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working," the Queen & Slim star said. "And that’s OK. The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children."
She went on to suggest that everyone should pause at different moments in their lives and ask if they are being true to themselves.
"If the answer is no, then you have to make a move because I believe that there are visible scars from staying in places that are not good for us. And they don’t just affect us, they affect everybody around us," she said.
"I don’t think it’s a failure," she continued of her marriage to Jackson. "We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting!"
