Wendy Williams Ex Publicist Slams Documentary

Last weekend on the Lifetime "Where is Wendy Williams" documentary, Wendy's publicist Shawn Zanotti was shown allowing Wendy to drink, despite having alcohol related dementia, and taking Wendy on a trip to Los Angeles without telling her team first [click here if you missed that].

Now Shawn is speaking out against the doc, claiming Wendy would never allow herself to be seen in this light...

Shawn Zanotti, who is featured in the docuseries, slammed the producers behind it in an exclusive interview with NBC News.
"I felt that [Williams] was being exploited," said Zanotti, who began working as Williams’ publicist in 2021. "She thought we were focusing on the comeback of her career. ... She would be mortified. There’s no way you can convince me that she would be OK with looking and seeing herself in that way.”
Zanotti said she was first pitched the project by Creature Films and eOne Television in 2022. The same production company was behind another Lifetime documentary on the host’s life, “Wendy Williams: What a Mess!”
“When I mentioned [doing a documentary] to Wendy, she immediately said: 'Yes, I would love to do it. I would love to be able to get my story out there,'” Zanotti said.
But what aired is not what Zanotti said was agreed upon.
“That is not the project that [Williams] signed up for. That’s not the project [the producers] brought to me. That’s not what I told her this was going to be about,” Zanotti said.
“There were a lot of good moments. None of those good moments were shown," she added.

Even though I think Shawn was only there for a check, none of these people could stop Wendy from drinking and doing drugs. If the really tried, she would fire them and hire someone who would do what she wants.

I'ont care what y'all say, this is all on Wendy. She wanted to do what she wanted, when she wanted, and how she wanted, damned all. Well, here we are.

And you know what else? I don't think she has dementia and she will use this as a comeback. They'll claim it was a miraculous recovery.

Shawn was a "yes" girl and wasn't strong enough to work with an addict. You have to give an addict a stone cold NO and put them in their place. The publicist and manager as well as the court appointed gaurdian must go. Free Wendy.

You’re right 801 and caused her own demise but Kevin and the girl really messed her head up too. Well I don’t think she will make it to 2024. Too bad we all gotta go.

8:01, I wish she was faking but you can't fake a MRI and CAT scan. She drank herself into dementia. A drinker with dementia can be very mean. Before a doctor confirms dementia, they run a battery of tests she can't fake. When her husband publicly humiliated her, it took her out. She loved that man but she realized he didn't love her. Ladies never find your value in another human.

@10:46. This is 801. Yeah, Keven and his hussy did add to her pain, but damn, Wendy makes it hard for most people to have her back.

Unfortunately, if I am right and the prognosis isn't as bad as they say, I think she will come back just as mean and evil as she's known to be. Time will tell.

There is no comeback from that diagnosis eventually Wendy will loose control of her muscles and motor skills. That form of dementia is horrible. She basically drowned her frontal lobe in alcoholic toxins. Bruce Willis did the same and he’s to a point that he can barely speakšŸ˜¢

Shawn, STFU! You do not care about Wendy and was only there to make a name for yourself and to get exposure. You were always in the way whenever Wendy was alone with a family member. You were the eyes and ears of the conservator. Now that everyone has watched the documentary and saw how destructive you were to Wendy's healing, you want to claim the producers were exploitative. It is you that is the problem and you provided Wendy with alcohol and rushed her to L.A., when those were the last things she needed.

Still praying for Wendy.

I can tell by these comments, many people have not dealt with a dementia patient
