The fact that he did this in front of other men is also telling. But which one? Was he that out of control and didn't think, or did he think doing this, even in front of other men, was ok somehow? That someone was not going to follow up on that a$$ like the man did?
I have learned at a young age that a man’s ego is nothing to be played with. She was amongst men. If she showed any type of disrespect, he was going to verbally or physically respond to show his dominance. He was wrong to have hit her and I commend the man that stepped up to honor her. I know she won’t do that anymore though.
