Moẽt Hennessy Exploring Sale of Sir Davis Whisky?

French media outlets are reporting that Moët Hennessy CEO is ready to unload Beyoncé's whiskey brand, 'Sir Davis...'

From La Lettre
Jean-Jacques Guiony, CEO of Moët Hennessy, wants to deconsolidate the Sir Davis whisky, launched in 2024 with the pop star, from its accounts, just as he did last year with its premium tequila Volcan de mi Tierra. This strategy aims to refocus on the core businesses of LVMH's wines and spirits division at a time when results are looking bleak.

It's either Hennessy or Jack Daniels.

Honestly I know that was part of her whole “southern” schtick but who the hell drinks whiskey ? I know she doesn’t… my pops and older West Indian people I know drink scotch which is different but this American whiskey. There are so many other brands.. idk 🤷🏽‍♀️ doesn’t look good…

So what. Im still gone buy it no matter who the distributor is. If Faun Weaver scamming tale self can be successful so can Bianca.

LEMME KNOW WHEN IT'S HALF PRICE!

At least Fawn Weaver has a distillery that people can tour and eat at. Plus she visits stores around the country that sell her products. Beyonce does not have the personality and I doubt she has the desire to promote Sir Davis like Fawn promotes Uncle Nearest.

*cackle cackle* the hive was DRAGGING it about fenty being sold by LMVH. but that company had >10 years of success.

suck whisky ain't but a year old, is it? idk who is advising her, but she needs to find ventures aligned w/her brand & her stan base. premium wigs, perhaps? no fashion, no spirits, nunna that.

also, fawn fraud weaver may have a "distillery," but is not in working order. uncle nearest is a white label spirit that is produced elsewhere. that "tour" is to look @ pieces of unused equipment. wouldnt be surprised if all gets sold off to pay them debts, either. better ask somebody.

Uncle Nearest is in receivership and fighting for its life.

"As of late January 2026, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey founders Fawn and Keith Weaver have filed an emergency motion to terminate or limit the federal receivership imposed in August 2025 following a $108 million loan default. The motion argues the receivership is eroding brand value, citing a 18.3% underperformance in the market, and seeks an immediate hearing to return control to management."

Champagne is more her luxury brand. Did she advertise it? LOLO

Who remembers Mary J. Blige's inventory of wine named 'Sun Goddess?" Has anyone ever seen or tasted it? I haven't. Nothing about her makes it appealing to me.

Beyonce would probably do better with a canned mint julep cocktail. It's a popular Southern alcoholic beverage and a possible win with her supporters. Not everyone drinks brown liquor straight or knows how to make good cocktails.

According to Multiple popular reviewers of Whiskeys both online & in print

There was NEVER a SIR DAVIS in her Family. "A great grandfather that created his own Whiskey & ran Moonshine."

They are saying she fabricated the history - to sell the Whiskey.

People are serious about their Whiskey - its history, its roots & heritage, it was BEYOND NAIVE if her & Jay to think people would NOT go digging into Beyonces Family Tree to find this man.

Its assumed Beyonce jumped into the Whiskey venture to help create her "Billionaire story line for Forbes." It didnt sell, people dont like its taste, & the story line fell apart.

Forbes put her in their "Billionaire List" without it, & CONVENIENTLY never mentioned its Flop. So Bey lost interest in Marketing it. She was never seen with it.In contrast Puffy was NEVER SEEN WITHOUT A CIROC BOTTLE in his hand.

Insult to injury, she never Marketed it the way it needed to be , her fans would have still bought it by leaps & bounds OVER Whiskey Snobs - IF she put her image and name on it PSYCHICALLY meaning on the bottle - instead of some made up guy named "Sir Davis"

If that bottle had a picture of her on a horse with a Cowboy hat & "Beyonce's Southern Girl Whiskey" was written on the Bottle - HER FANS would have RIOTED in stores to buy it even if it tasted like Louisiana swamp water lol lol lol

BEYONCES FANS WORSHIP HER IMAGE

Id revamp it according to my advice above & get in on Tik Tok with a catchy jingle in Beys voice - put in her contract that she cant leave the House or appear any where in public or in print without a bottle in her hand.

It’s possibly the worst Bourbon / Whiskey I’ve ever had.

I didn't know Mary and B had these bottle brands. I have no respect for Doodoo Diddy, I can say he really knew how to advertise a brand. Everone knows that Ciroc Vodka was associated with him. These other folks need to take notes.

I saw Sir Davis at a liquor store and the bottle appeared to be reasonably priced for its size. Although they claim it to be an award winning brand that wasn't enough to make me want to buy it. I've purchased brands that I was unfamiliar with before. Sometimes I liked them, sometimes I didn't.

I used to buy the red wine blend promoted by "Calvin Broadus." It's good and I bought it several times. He ruined it for me. 🫤 i saw John Legend's wine but purchased something else for less. I might have gotten it if I could have tasted it first.

I'm not opposed to celebrity branded products. I just don't connect with everybody. I do like the TPH (Taraji P Henson) shampoo and styling cream. It worked well on my hair.

^ Just because you live in the hood dont mean you follow the hood ppl. Level up and be different.

It’s really not that deep. Some of the world’s top alcohol makers have billions of dollars in inventory just sitting unsold because people are drinking less. Greedy mfers really messed up the economy on a global scale after covid.
And honestly, Beyonce and her team should’ve been paying attention.

We’ve been complaining about the cost of living before things got worse under this administration, but I remember hearing about other countries complaining and protesting about inflation as well. People are choosing essentials over alcohol.
