RIP, sis.

Now every time I notice a Black woman is diagnosed with ovarian or uterine cancer I think of how prevalent hair relaxers were. In middle school it was a rite of passage to get that first perm. Then the touchups every 6 (?) weeks. If we only knew what we were doing to ourselves. Just like the generous sprinkles of baby powder we grew up on. That isht's dangerous. And those companies knew for years. It makes me so angry.

Is it me, or does the AVERAGE 40+ year old seem to be sickly. I started looking around and it seems like so many people I see in the streets have some sort of physical health concern. I think our society is creating much more sickly people.
