Shemar Moore and Viviva A. Fox are set to return to The Young and the Restless for a story arc that will leave lasting implications for the residents of Genoa City.
Moore and Fox will reprise their roles of Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons. Both stars began filming the multi-episode story today and will air sometime in April.
CBS says the characters’ return has “shocking” consequences for the rest of the series’ residents.
Moore played Malcolm Winters on Y&R from 1994 to 2005. He returned for special appearances in 2014, 2019 and 2023. His last appearance in 2023 was in celebration of the show’s 50th anniversary, where a portrait of Malcolm’s late brother, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) was unveiled as a tribute.
Fox played Dr. Stephanie Simmons from 1994 to 1995. It is her first time returning to Y&R since 1995.
Fox made her daytime debut on the groundbreaking daytime drama Generations, working opposite the late Kristoff St. John.

Yes baby!!! So glad Shemar Moore is returning for a bit. It’s nice he still gives back in that way. Some actors never return to their roots. I don’t remember Viv being on it but welcome back to her too. Oooh this makes me wish Kristoff St John was still alive. Rest his soul. 🙏
Now if we could just get Victoria Rowell and Tonya Lee Willis’s back it would truly be awesome!! Y&R POC character set sure ain’t what it used to be.
Now about this “shocking” story, I just hope they don’t try to erase Drucilla’s history. Like make Dr Stephanie Simmons child or something. Cause on soaps they have baby swapping and women’s having twins and not remembering or only remembering giving birth to 1 child. Anything can happen smh

Shermar is being forced back to his roots because he lost his nighttime gig. LOL. Both of them belong on daytime soaps.
@8:05 I don't really think she is cashing checks like that. Her son by Wynton is 30 years old. Wynton is also married to someone else. Young and the Restless probably won't call Victoria because of her trying to sue them for racial discrimination some years back.
I have never watched a soap. But VF keeps a check coming in and yes she is over weight. LOLO
This might be worth watching.
