She actually didn’t lose if you think about it. She was a major actress in a now Oscar winning movie and she can now add the title of Oscar Nominated Actress before her name in all projects moving forward. This equals to higher earning capacity and recognition. She’s good mane

She has come a long way in career to be in a major film (that I havent seen) and be at the Oscars. Also she dumped a dead beat cheater and now she is on her way up.

I give her props for her grind but she zipped past being a Chris Brown & Diddy's supporter to gyrating 3/4 nekked while cosplaying a femme to rubbing elbows with the Hollywood elites. And now she's all of a sudden one of very few Black faces in that crowd and a respected thespian. How'd that happen? Lol.
Seems like just the other day she was mainly known for doing background choreography work, releasing non-hit albums and living out a bad marriage on reality TV. Yet somehow she's now a Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominated actress even though she's only been in a few movies. Biggest kicker is she's technically in the same category with a Yale trained actress like Angela Bassett. Color me confused and skeptical. Hollywood sure knows how to create and promote what they want to.
