R.I.P. Dee Freeman


Actress Dee Freeman has died after a bout with Cancer...

Dee Freeman, a television actress whose career spanned nearly three decades died on Thursday following a stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. She was 66.
Freeman’s publicist, Desirae L. Benson, confirmed the actress died from complications related to lung cancer. Her family shared on Instagram that she “passed away peacefully... after a brave and fearless fight with cancer.”
The Louisiana native gained recognition for her work on CBS’s “The Young and the Restless” and Tyler Perry’s BET series “Sistas,” where she made her final onscreen appearance in January. Her career included guest roles on prominent shows including “Seinfeld,” “ER,” “The X-Files,” “Dexter,” “Shameless,” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
Before entering entertainment, Freeman served six years in the United States Marine Corps. She made her television debut in 1995 on an episode of ABC’s “Coach.”
Freeman appeared in three episodes of “The Young and the Restless” between 1997 and 2009 and starred in the satirical series “Pretty the Series” from 2010 to 2015. She continued working in recent years, appearing in a 2022 episode of “Reasonable Doubt.”
