Aries Spears Got Arrested

I know, who cares right? But anyway, NYPD received a 911 call shortly after midnight Friday from a woman claiming Spears had fondled her at the Comix Comedy Club in Manhattan, where Spears had performed earlier. He was arrested just before 1:00 AM and taken to the station and booked. He received a desk appearance ticket and was released on his own recognizance. The comedy club had no comment on the incident, only to say that Spears would not be performing Saturday night (as had been scheduled) so that "he could deal with his personal issues."

After only six months of taping, TruTV has yanked Star Jones' talk show. "Due to the rebranding and programming refocus of the network, TruTV and Star Jones Reynolds have mutually agreed to cease production of 'The Star Jones Show," said a memo from Marc Juris, executive vice president and general manager of the channel formerly known as Court TV.
