Morgan Freeman Is Being Sued

by the passenger who was riding in the car with him when he had that bad car accident last August. At the time Demaris Meyer was being referred to as Morgan's mistress. Even her own family sold her out telling the National Enquirer that Demaris missed one of her parent's funeral [can't remember if it was her mom's or her dad's] to stay by Morgan's side. And then, to add fuel to the adulterous fire, 4 days after the accident Morgan sped up divorce procedings from his wife of 24 years. Anyway, now Miss Thing claims to have been "only friends" with Morgan even though she admitted she'd been planning to sleep over with him the night of the accident, in a 'friends only' kind of way of course. But now she's suing him because she says she saw Morgan drinking before their ill fated car ride.

is headed back to Broadway. The original 1975 stage play starred Stephanie Mills as Dorothy, who was majorly pissed off when the film, produced by Motown, gave the part of Dorothy to Diana Ross instead of her three years later.

T.I.'s Baby Mama Gets An Increase

The mother of T.I.'s two oldest sons is getting a $2,000 increase in her child support payments. Last September Lashona Dixon petitioned the court to increase her child support payments from $3,000 to $10,000. Yesterday a judge in Atlanta family court decided to cut Lashonda some slack. She will now be receiving $5,000.00 a month.

Regarding The Case Against Chris Brown

A statement from Los Angeles district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison reads, "We don’t have the evidence yet. (Los Angeles police detectives) are still investigating. If (detectives) determine they need more time they’ll set a new date for him (Brown) to come into court. "He only has to come back if and when we file charges."

Charles Barkley, who was arrested on a DUI, will be doing his ten day jail stint in the same tent Arizona city jail as DMX.

Raising Hell

DMX has gotten into more trouble at the Arizona tent city jail where he's serving 90 days after pleading guilty to felony theft, drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. If you recall, X was put on a bread and water diet after he refused to work or take his meds. Well, apparently the punishment proved to be too much for your boy because he stole a tray of regular food but threw it at prison guards after they caught him with it. Though no guards were hurt during the outburst, DMX was re-booked on an additional charge of aggravated assault.

The handgun found on rapper Lil Wayne's tour bus after a 2007 concert will be allowed as evidence in his upcoming trial for criminal gun possession. The rapper, real name Dwayne Carter, was arrested in July 2007 after a concert at New York's Beacon Theatre when a police officer said she boarded the bus because she smelled marijuana, and then saw the star attempt to hide a gun. Wayne pleaded not guilty and was freed on $70,000 bail, with his lawyers arguing the officer falsely claimed to smell the drug so she could board the bus. New York State Supreme Court Judge Charles Solomon on Tuesday (24Feb09) ordered jury selection to begin immediately following the rapper's U.S. tour, which completes on 12 April (09). Weezy F, 26, will face one count of criminal weapons possession and one charge of criminal possession of a loaded weapon when his trial begins on 20 April (09). According to a spokeswoman at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, he will face a maximum prison sentence of 15 years if convicted.

Charles Gets Work Release

Charles Barkley has been granted work release so he won't have to spend his 10 day jail sentence for DUI in jail. He'll only has to spend his nights there. Sir Charles has to check in every night from 8pm to 6 am for the duration of his sentence.
