Jim Jones Stomped Out In Detroit
Add Jim Jones name to the list of rappers who got their asses kicked in the D. And of course Detroit rapper Trick Trick's name is mixed up in it. They say Jim Jones got mobbed by 20 or more dudes at club Esko in Detroit last night shortly before he was to take the stage. News is sketchy right now but Channel 4 is reporting that Trick Trick, of Yung Berg's stolen chain fame, [not to mention the times he stomped out Trick Daddy and Styles P] , was shot during the melee and taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital in serious condition.

Hammer Facing Lawsuit
Publishing house Simon and Schuster is suing MC Hammer for return of the $61,000.00 advance they gave him for a book he never got around to writing.
"We never got the manuscript," said Adam Rothberg, a spokesman for Simon & Schuster, which made the deal with Hammer in 2002. "So, in 2004, we canceled the contract and we're seeking to get the advance back."

“Me not answering or addressing that situation has nothing to do with my career. I’ve accomplished enough, and I’ve made enough money for me to be good… Yes, it was me in those pictures. But I’ma tell you this. Me taking that job, I was doing my job. You understand what I mean?”

Dante Stallworth In Fatal Accident
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth hit and killed a pedestrian with his Bentley Saturday morning on a busy causeway linking Miami and Miami Beach, police said.
Stallworth was headed toward the beach when he hit a 49-year-old man around 7 a.m., said Miami Beach police spokesman Juan Sanchez. The unidentified pedestrian was taken to a nearby trauma center, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later. He was near a crosswalk but it's not clear if he was crossing legally.
Stallworth, 28, was cooperating and no charges have been filed, Sanchez said. Officers drew blood to test for drugs or alcohol, which is routine, but police said it was too early to tell if Stallworth was impaired or violating traffic laws. Police would not say where he was coming from or where he was headed.
Stallworth signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns as a free agent before last season but hardly played because he was hurt. He was due a $4.75 million signing bonus Friday.
He previously played for the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints in the NFL and the University of Tennessee in college.
Rihanna Doesn't Want To Testify
and depending on whether or not the back door dealings of her and Chris' attorneys work out, she may not have to. Chris Brown's attorney Mark Geragos, has requested a meeting with the judge in his assault case to discuss Rihanna's possible silence in the court room. Rihanna's attorney, Donald Etra, is in agreement with the request, both lawyers believing that Rihanna's position was compromised when her involvement in the case and other information leaked, and that she should no longer be subjected to public scrutiny.

BeBe Winans Arrested
Gospel singer BeBe Winans was booked March 11th on a domestic assault charge for allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground during an argument last month. According to a court filing, a copy of which you'll find below, Winans, 46, and his former spouse got into a "verbal altercation" on February 13 about "custody issues dealing with their children." At the time, Winans was at his ex-wife Debra's Nashville home, where he had driven to pick up his children. "The victim was telling the defendant of issues with the children when he became irate. The defendant then pushed the victim to the ground." Winans, pictured in the mug shot at right, was arrested yesterday on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge. He was briefly held at the Davidson County jail before posting $1000 bond. Winans, best known for albums recorded with his sister CeCe, has won four Grammy awards.
I Saw Solange
at Center Stage in Atlanta last night and she rocked it. I am not lying. She did her thing in 6 inch heels and jumped into the mosh pit and danced with the crowd near the end of her set. She did shout out Seattle instead of Atlanta one time but it was all good. Estelle rocked the house too, but complained that she was tired of singing American Boy, and I'm like, whatever, just sing the damn song.
