Brian McKnight and Ne-Yo's Manager Sentenced to Jail Time

Last year the former manager for R&B singers Brian McNight and Ne-Yo was found guilty on 16 counts of defrauding them both out of millions of dollars [click here if you missed that].

Now it's time to pay the piper...

According to reports Kevin R. Foster has been sentenced to 7 years in prison and ordered to pay $7.8 million in restitution to the victims.

Foster convinced Brian and Ne-Yo to invest in a water company but failed to notify them that he was the CEO and CFO of the company. Then he used the money to support his lavish lifestyle.

Foster also allegedly took out a $2 million loan in Ne-Yo's name without his knowledge and withdrew money from Brian's account without permission.

I hope they are able to recoup some of their money back, it's tragic we do this shit to our own people. They also need to take note from Oprah about signing your own checks. The first order of business when coming into any money is taking financial literacy course, my now 30 who studied economics, and was at one time managing 30 million dollar hedge funds, but left to pursue her dream of culinary arts, taught me a few things about money management, as I was terrible about money management. I can't imagine having your hard earned money stolen by someone you trust.

He probably got away with it as long as he did because they were both sleeping with him. Who invests in a company and doesn't know who is running it?? That's stupid!
