New Details in NBA Youngboy Utah Arrest

This week Baton Rouge rapper NBA Youngboy was taken into custody in Utah on d rugh charges, while under house arrest awaiting trial on unrelated gn charges in Louisiana [click here if you missed that].

Turns out NBA and his crew are accused of submitting forged prescriptions all over town, for the pain medication codeine and the cough suppressant promethazine, and triggering an investigation after they started impersonating physicians to call in the 'scripts without knowing the proper pronunciations or units of measurement...

From NBC 4
According to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office, Gaulden and several associates would call in prescriptions for Promethazine with Codeine at pharmacies throughout Cache County. Police said the d rugh is a “heavily abused” cough suppressant.
Gaulden allegedly called a Hyrum pharmacy in September 2023, pretending to be a 74-year-old woman. Police say Gaulden posed as a physician in the Provo area and provided actual identification for the physician. A pharmacist reportedly noticed that the number that was called did not match the number of the clinic. When the pharmacist called the doctor, he said he didn’t call in the prescription saying that the same thing “happened several times” that day.
The same day, police were alerted to another fraudulent prescription call at another pharmacy in Smithfield. The pharmacy reportedly found the call to be suspicious and later contacted law enforcement after confirming the fake prescription with the Provo-based doctor. Police were able to apprehend two women who they say were driving a Tahoe registered to Gaulden.
The women reportedly told police they were going to pick up the prescription for a “friend” but would not give a name. The following day, a person claiming to be Gaulden’s “business manager” called Cache County Sheriff’s to get the Tahoe out of impound. During that call, the deputy was able to speak to Gaulden directly. The deputy reported he suspected Gaulden put him on mute several times during the conversation though at one time, he reported hearing a request to ask about “the prescription they picked up.”

Posing as a 74-year-old woman. This nicca is askin' for trouble. He knew they'd come after him. I guess his jones was so strong that he just didn't care.

It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

How little self awareness does he have to think someone would hear his voice and believe he sounds like a doctor? I don't care what kind of fake telephone voice he used I know he must've sounded so dumb the pharmacist probably put him so he wouldn't laugh in his face.

He should hv found a doctor that was willing to do what he wanted. In the entertainment community those type of doctors come a dime a dozen.
